Rebecca Irvin Clement, retired teacher and award winning photographer, spends summers exploring the North, from the rain forest of Southeast Alaska to the tundra of the Arctic. The Alaska Adventure Bears accompany her on these trips and then return to classrooms to help young children learn to read and enjoy nature. Mrs. Clement combines her love of adventure, photography and teaching to create books that captivate the imagination of beginning readers. She lives with her husband, two sons and lots of little bears. Becky is the author of Bears in the Berry Patch and A Picnic with Friends.

Halene Petersen Dahlstrom resides in Anchorage, Alaska. Creative writing has been a passion of hers from an early age, and her major in college. Besides being a writer, she is a wife, mother of four grown children, active in church and community as a speaker, volunteer, and program coordinator. Her book Raven Cove Mystery-A Rinnie of Alaska Adventure was selected to be on the 2004-05 Battle of the Books. Halene's first book, Christmas Connections-miracles one good deed at a time is a delightful holiday novel. Harvest Homecoming-life, love, and laughter in Hometown, USA continues the saga of characters that we've come to know and love.
